This month, AY is bringing you the Comfort Food Bucket List, dedicated to all the places that will leave you leaning back in your seat and loosening your belt. This week, AY About You President and Publisher Heather Baker and Nichole Niemann with Arkansas Style stop by Cotham’s.


“This is Cotham’s in the city,” Baker said. “This is iconic for the vegetable plates, the chicken fried chicken. I mean, they have giant hubcap burgers. That’s definitely comfort food, right?”




With a full table of food in front of them, Baker and Niemann gush over how big the hubcap burger is and how delicious the onions rings look.


“There’s not a bun big enough in the world to fit this hamburger,” Niemann said.




Then, Baker moves on to the fried green tomatoes. Niemann also tries a bite.


“These have been breaded to perfection with a little bit of crunch,” Baker said.




Next up, Niemann goes for the smothered steak with a side of fried okra and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. And for Baker, the chicken fried steak with a side of green beans and pinto beans.




“Thick and crunchy,” Baker said. “Again, the breading here, I love it with this thick, white gravy.”



“Well, this is delicious, too!” Niemann said. “It really is comfort food.”
