Featuring one track on the impact of violence against women

The World Woman Summit is the global stage for celebrating women’s voices around the world in business, entertainment, science and technology. The conference, to be held at the Clinton Presidential Center, will bring leaders from various backgrounds together to share methods for access to resources, mentoring and long-term sustainability. The global initiative aims to inform, inspire and impact the world with voices of women on the global stages and actionable ideas for accelerate women’s leadership in a bold new way.

“This initiative will inform, inspire and impact our society to embrace gender harmony as well as social and economic growth,” says Rupa Dash, co-founder and CEO of the World Woman Foundation. The World Woman Summit is presented by the World Woman Foundation, Dash Media, and with partners the City of Little Rock, Little Rock Convention Center, Johnson Law Firm, Inviting Arkansas, Esse Purse Museum the Department of Arkansas Parks and Tourism, and Thoma Thoma.

“The Violence Against Women Panel is a unique opportunity to engage in deep conversation about an issue that affects one in four women during their lifetime,” said Sandy Wright, panel moderator. Sandy is the founder and CEO of Brave Woman, a movement to tap the insights, wisdom, challenges and creative solutions of domestic violence/abuse survivors globally for lasting, transformational change.

“The panel is comprised of women who know first hand the personal and community impact of abuse. Their broad range of experience, bold leadership and candid interchange will shift the way we think and act,” Wright said.

If communities get involved, we can reduce the 5.8 billion in direct domestic violence costs per year, and quickly turn victims into contributing community members.
