What’s the best fundraising event in Arkansas? It’s Wild Wines at the Zoo! After all, AY Magazine readers voted it as one of the top three charity events in the state in 2018. And our readers are always right!
This year, the Little Rock Zoo is taking Wild Wines at the Zoo to the next level. There are going to be two great events this year at the Zoo that you can attend and enjoy some fantastic wine. During Wild Wines, you’ll not only be tasting fine wines hand-selected by O’Looneys Wine and Liquor but those wines will be paired with food from some of the top restaurants in Little Rock.
The event benefits the Arkansas Zoological Foundation, which helps raise funds to grow and develop the Little Rock Zoo.
On Friday, April 26, you can be a very important person at the VIP Night. Hang around Café Africa and Civitan Pavilion while listening to the cool sounds of The Rodney Block Collective. VIPs always have special perks – that’s why you will receive your own souvenir wine glass to sip your high-end wine from.
Of course, Saturday is the main event – except in this case, it’s the “Mane” Event. This is the party that you love and attend every year, so don’t miss out in 2019! Over 200 wines will be available with food from over 40 restaurants and other establishments.
Even if you don’t like wine, head over to the Zoo! There will be some great beer options and other beverages available.
Music will also be a highlight this year. The 2019 lineup includes D Harp Steel Drums, SynRG, Billstown, Dizzy 7 and more.
But of course, the biggest attraction to the zoo are the animals. There will be animal “ambassadors” stationed around the zoo, so make sure to find one and say hello!
Wild Wines will be held from Friday, April 26 to Saturday, April 27. The VIP night will be on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. The “Mane” Event will be on Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m.
Because this is a wine-centered event, attendees must be at least 21 years of age. Identification is required.
Admission is $150 for the VIP night and $75 for the Mane Event. A “Foodie” ticket is available for Saturday night for those just wishing to sample food; this ticket is $45.
