The Arkansas Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of The Gift of the Magi, a new chamber musical based on O. Henry’s beloved holiday story. The Gift of the Magi is an ageless Christmas tale of love and sacrifice, told with fresh intimacy on The Rep stage. Acclaimed playwright Jeffrey Hatcher (Tuesdays with Morrie, Three Viewings) worked with composer Andrew Cooke and lyricist Maggie-Kate Coleman to create a brand new musical specifically for The Rep’s loyal holiday audience. The show is open until Dec. 24. The Friday show is at 7 p.m., Saturday’s shows are at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday the last performance is at 2 pm. Tickets are $48 and can be purchased through The Rep’s website:
