Thursday, Dec. 6

What: Bernice Garden Tree Lighting

Where: The Bernice Garden

When: 5 p.m.

Come to the annual Bernice Garden Tree Lighting Ceremony for a night of holiday fun! The night will open with Booker T. Washington Elementary School and Dunbar Middle School choirs performing classic Christmas carols. After the performances, students will lead the countdown to the tree lighting. Treats and hot drinks will be offered. Trust Tree Music and Arts Camp will have open a craft booth and SoMa neighborhood businesses will stay open until 8 p.m.

What: A Very Merry Science After Dark: Jingle Booze

Where: Museum of Discovery

When: 6-9 p.m.

The Museum of Discovery is bringing Science After Dark to the holiday season! Stop by for a fun night of science and booze. The evening will have ugly sweater contests, liquid nitrogen ice cream and more! Admission is $10. Must be 21 or older to enter. Get your tickets here.

Friday, Dec. 7

What: Kris Allen – Somethin’ About Christmas Tour

Where: CALS Ron Robinson Theater

When: 7-10 p.m.

American Idol winner and Arkansas native Chris Allen is coming to the CALS Ron Robinson Theater to perform Christmas classics and original songs as part of his “Somethin’ About Christmas Tour”. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $75 for a VIP meet and greet. Get your tickets here.

Friday, Dec. 7-Sunday, Dec. 9

What: Ballet Arkansas’s The Nutcracker

Where: Robinson Center

When: 7 p.m.

Check out Ballet Arkansas’ 40th Anniversary performance of “The Nutcracker” this holiday season! The show features 250 local kids and adults, two choral ensembles, dancers from Ballet Arkansas and live music from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Ticket prices range from $23 to $102. Saturday, Dec. 8 & Saturday Dec. 15

What: Holidays in the Wild

Where: Little Rock Zoo

When: 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Stop by the Little Rock Zoo with your family this holiday season! Take pictures with Santa and some animal friends. Attendees will create crafts and be provided with a breakfast or lunch buffet. Following the event, Santa will deliver gifts to the animals. Get your tickets here.

What: Mistletoe Madness

Where: Downtown Conway

When: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Shop holiday specials and see the unique attractions at Downtown Conway’s Mistletoe Madness! This annual event will feature a giant Ferris Wheel, carriage rides, mini train rides and performances from local elementary school choirs.

What: 61stAnnual Jacksonville Christmas Parade

Where: Main Street in Jacksonville

When: 6:30 p.m.

Jacksonville Parks and Recreation is hosting the 61 Annual Jacksonville Christmas Parade. The parade will feature floats, marching bands, dance groups, the fire department and a guest appearance from Santa! Admission is free.

What: Rodney Block Christmas Show

Where: South on Main

When: 10 p.m.

South on Main will feature Arkansas local Rodney Black’s Christmas Show to celebrate the Holiday season! Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Seats are not guaranteed with the purchase of a ticket. Get your tickets here.

Saturday, Dec. 8 – Sunday, Dec. 9

What: A Ferncliff Christmas

Where: Ferncliff Camp & Conference Center

When: 6-9 p.m.

Stop by to see Ferncliff’s new Christmas event to celebrate the season. A ¾ mile trail will be illuminated with nine different scenes from the story of Christ’s birth. Crafts, live music, cookies and cider will be available at the end of the experience. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
