It’s time for another month of cocktail classes at Rock Town Distillery, and this week, guests can enjoy a tour of the distillery and a class in creating the perfect craft cocktail. This month’s drinks include a Rumspresso Martini, which is a twist in the espresso martini, and A Spritzy New Year, which serves as a twist to the tradition aperol spritz. What: Brenden Eyre Live 

Where: Loony Bin (Little Rock) 

When: Various showtimes 

Join Brendan Eyre this weekend as he performs live on stage at the The Loony Bin. Eyre is known as one of New York’s biggest up-and-comers in the comedy scene and has been featured on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” on Adaman Devine’s “House Party” and more. Tickets are available online. 

 

Friday, Jan. 19 

What: “Misery” Screening

Where: CALS Ron Robinson Theater (Little Rock)

When: 7 p.m. 

Join CALS Ron Robinson Theater for a spine-tingling movie night. Screening “Misery” (1990, R), the film is based on Stephen King’s “Misery” and is directed by Rob Reiner. Starring actors such as James Caan, Kathy Bates, Lauren Bacall, Richard Farnsworth and Frances Sternhagen, this plot is unforgettable. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online.  

 

Friday, Jan. 19

What: 2024 International Hoof Care Week

Where: Little Rock Zoo

When: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Join the Little Rock Zoo to learn about all the care and upkeep of hoofed animals this Friday. Pending weather conditions, guests will be able to learn firsthand about how to care for all kinds of animals, and learn what ferries (those who shoe horses) do daily. 

 

Friday, Jan. 19 

What: 4-Pack Comedy Night

Where: The Joint Comedy Theater (Argenta/North Little Rock)

When: 8 p.m. 

Head out to see four local comics, Alexi, Kime Eubanks, Jack Wilks and JJ Molinaro, as they bring laughter to the stage this Friday night at 4-Pack Comedy Night. These four comedians have fresh and vibrant energy, along with their own personal twists and humorous anecdotes. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. 

 

Friday, Jan. 19 

What: Argenta Third Friday Art Walk 

Where: Argenta (North Little Rock) 

When: 5 p.m. 

Join Argenta for its January 3rd Friday Art Walk this Friday evening. Enjoy new works by Meikel Church and Vincent Griffin, which will be on-display at the Argenta Public Library through Feb. 9. Show proceeds will benefit Potluck Food Rescue for Arkansas.

What: 2024 Marine Expo 

Where: Statehouse Convention Center (Little Rock)

When: Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Sunday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

This weekend marks the 42nd Annual Arkansas Marine Expo in Little Rock, and all those interested in fishing adventures, or dreaming of long summer days are invited to enjoy several activities, demos and more. Admission is $10 for adults, and free for children 12-years-old and younger. 

 

Saturday, Jan. 20 

What: VIP Painting Experience with HOWSE and Buddy Whitlock 

Where: HOWSE (Little Rock) 

When: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

Join HOWSE for an opportunity to see Whitlock painting live in the Little Rock location this Saturday. Families are invited to help Flurffy find his way through his winter adventure this Saturday. Fluffy and his friends will be building a story in real time using music, games and imaginative play, making for an incredible Saturday activity for parents and children to both enjoy.

There’s no fun quite like an adult spelling bee, and this Saturday, adults can come enjoy their own spelling competition with a twist. Guests can compete while sipping on the finest brews and win exciting prizes.

What: Nasty Women of Comedy

Where: The Joint Comedy Theater (Argenta/North Little Rock) 

When: 8 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. 

Laugh out loud this Saturday with Nasty Women of Comedy at North Little Rock’s The Joint Comedy Theater. This show is one of the venue’s more-popular recurring comedy shows and is promised to be an unforgettable experience for all who attend. Featuring May Gayden, LG Grey, Amber Glaze and Robyn Adair, this show will be hosted by Ashley Wright-Ihler. Tickets are $20 in-advance and $25 at the door.

What: SoNa’s “The Great Unknown”
