Fayetteville, celebrate Mardi Gras with the 30th Annual Fat Saturday Parade of Fools. Costumes, floats, beads and more will be featured at this family-friendly event.

What: Inaugural Mardi Gras in the Garden District 

Where: Botanical Garden of the Ozarks (Fayetteville) 

When: 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. 

The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks is hosting a night with fun, food and libations this Saturday in observance of Mardi Gras. Jazz music, prizes, blackjack, craps and roulette will be available in addition to a Cajun-inspired buffet.

What: Cats in the Rock! 

Where: Arkansas State Fairgrounds (Little Rock) 

The Cat Fanciers’ Association will be bringing its New Cats in the Rock show back to Little Rock this weekend. With multiple judging rings, a cat-dress contest and more, this event is fun for cat-lovers of all ages.

What: SoMardi Gras 2023 

Where: SoMa (Little Rock) 

When: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

What: The Gruffalo

  • Laughter On the 23rd Floor will be running through Feb. 25 at The Rep in downtown Little Rock. Full of comedy, Judge Reinhold will be starring in this production. Read this earlier article for more information. 
  • Next to Normal will be showing through Feb. 26 at The Studio Theatre in downtown Little Rock. 
  • Perejil/Jonathan Gonzalez performance at the Momentary in Bentonville will be shown through Feb. 12, with many opportunities to view the presentation. 
  • Kim’s Convenience will be showing at TheatreSquared in Fayetteville through Feb. 19.  
  • Entre/ Between is another free exhibit at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art that features several different art pieces, based on living life in between. This exhibition will stay on display until March 20. 
  • What a Time To Be Showcases beautiful, and very pink, artwork by Yvette Mayorga, and is currently on display at The Momentary, where it will remain on display until May 21. 
  • Rage Fluids by Hannah Perry is currently on display at The Momentary in Gallery 3. With labyrinth-like display, this was inspired by the automobile industry. This exhibition will stay on display until Feb. 19.  
  • PBR U.S. Border Patrol Invitational will be headed to Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock March 3-4. Don’t wait, if you want in on the fun, go ahead and order tickets online at TicketMaster.
