Join Black Girls Talk and Interform for an open forum at Markham & Fitz this Thursday. Black Girls Talk is a reccuring event in the community that provides a safe place for Black women to discuss the impact of recent events, providing empathy, support and community. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to build with clay by hand, now is your chance. Learn how to create pottery with the basics of functional pottery at the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub. Students will learn how to make vases, bowls, cups and more – without the use of the wheel. Students will also learn how to fire their own creations in the electric kiln.

Take yourself and your family out to the ball game this weekend to see Arkansas’ two minor league teams play at Dickey-Stephens Park. On Thursday, tickets will be $3, Friday’s game will feature fireworks, on Saturday, the park will host Nickelodeon Paw Patrol Night and a jersey auction and Sunday’s game will be in support of the Military Appreciation. Curb your sweet tooth this Friday at Little Rock’s very first Crumbl Cookies grand opening celebration. Crumbl Cookies is infamous for its perfectly postable boutique cookies and packaging, and the locally owned and operated location will be bringing unique flavors to Little Rock every week. Make your way to CALS Ron Robinson Theater to watch The Goonies (1985). Reminisce on simpler times with the PG-13 rated movie directed by Steven Spielberg and Chris Columbus. Where: The Joint Comedy Theater (Argenta)

If you’re looking for a laugh this weekend, make your way out to Argenta on Friday or Saturday for a night full of comedy and celebration at The Joint. The Main Thing will be performing the show that started it all. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online. There will be cocktails and snacks offered at the cabaret theatre throughout the night.

Make sure to make plans with The Little Rock Zoo for Breakfast with a Twist. This monthly celebration will feature Macaw. Breakfast will kick off at the Elephant Stage with a special keeper talk on the featured animal. Following breakfast, guests will visit Civitan Pavilion for a painting session with Painting with a Twist staff. Art supplies and canvases will be supplied to guests. Where: Nomads Southtown (Fayetteville)

Enjoy a wide variety of mimosa creations at Nomads Southtown this weekend for its Summer Mimosa Fest. With two days and over 150 flavors, guests are invited to join in with their community for champagne sipping and a delicious brunch. Nomad’s is encouraging guests to carpool or Uber on this day due to parking restrictions. Guests should buy tickets all together to ensure a table together, as space is limited. Guests should make sure to arrive 15 minutes early and come at the time their ticket says.
