Happy birthday, Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe! Sorry we missed the celebration last month, but we want you to know you that your seven locations in the state have made us want to eat hummus and those crunchy pita chips no matter what the celebration.
The Keet boys, once a Wendy’s franchisee, hit the Mediterranean jackpot when they opened their first location on Cantrell Road ten years ago. And now with six others across the state, Taziki’s is a favorite for lunch or dinner.
The daily lunch specials are enough to make your mouth water. On Wednesday, the special is the spanakopita roll-up which has grilled chicken, fresh spinach and feta in a griddled flour tortilla and served with fresh salsa.
If you don’t want to dine there but want to impress your family that you know how to do take-out, then you’ll really love the Fresh Take-Home Dinner for four. It includes the classic Greek salad, basmati rice or roasted new potatoes and pita chips. You can pick this up after 2:00 p.m., but give them a two-hour notice for the order. I highly recommend this when your husband calls and says he’s invited the guys from work, or you have to take a meal to a friend.
Because it’s 2018, Taziki’s has an app and online ordering. Or walk in and order, and it will be ready lickety-split. Either way, you’ll be glad you did and you will totally forget that you missed Taziki’s birthday.
