Central Arkansas theater fans will have a chance to see rising local talent take the spotlight as Stage 13 Foundation for the Performing Arts presents its Pre-Professional Company Showcase on Tuesday, May 5, at Arkansas Repertory Theatre.
The performance will feature 18 young artists from across the region in a high-energy evening of musical theater, with selections from popular productions like Hamilton, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Into the Woods, Chicago, Rent, Legally Blonde and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Recently recognized as one of the region’s top performing arts education programs, Stage 13’s Pre-Professional Company is designed to showcase emerging talent while highlighting the impact of arts education in Arkansas.
“This showcase is really a glimpse into the future of the arts,” said Stage 13’s Director of Education Bridget Davis. “These students are doing work that rivals professional stages, and it’s happening right here in Arkansas.”
The event is free to attend, with optional VIP tickets available for a pre-show celebration at Foster’s inside The Rep. VIP tickets are $45 and can be purchased here.
