As the weather warms and the colors of spring come back into focus, so too do the libations we seasonally enjoy. Gone are the cold grey skies, as well as the burly drinks meant mainly to warm our spirits. Now, it’s time for tiki glasses and citrus garnish. And a few of our local friends are here to help with some recipes to get us started.

 

Rock Town Distillery

White Lady

2 oz. Brandon’s Gin

1/2 oz. Mandarin Vodka

1 oz. lemon juice

1 oz. simple syrup

1 oz. egg white

Add all ingredients to shaker. Shake without ice for 15 seconds. Add ice and shake for 30 seconds, strain into Nick and Nora glass. Top with an edible orchid.

 

Fox Trail Distillery

Saturn

2 oz. Artanical Gin

1/2 oz. Giffard Fruit de la Passion

1/2 oz. Giffard Orgeat

1/2 oz. Craft Standard Falernum

1 oz. fresh lime juice

Shake and strain over crushed ice.

Glassware: Tiki mug or double old-fashioned glass. Garnish: Edible flower blossom, aromatic herbs, citrus wheels.

 

Tula

Smoked  Mangonada Margarita

2 oz. Patron Reposado

¾ oz. Smoked Patron Citronge

¾ oz. mango puree

¾ oz. fresh lime juice

Garnish with mango slice and house blend of chili powder and salt.
