Christmastime is here, which means it’s time to plan your holiday festivities. Whether you need a signature drink for a swanky party, a cocktail to celebrate with family and friends, or a libation to calm your nerves after too much shopping, AY Magazine has collected recipes for some of our favorite concoctions as our gift to help keep your season merry and bright.

While a few sips of one of your new festive favorites or old holiday classics will make you feel jolly, please be sure to drink responsibly. If you’ve been Blitzen and look more like a red-nosed reindeer than a happy elf, leave the driving to Santa.

Manhattan – Cache Restaurant
2 parts Woodford Reserve Bourbon, 1 part port wine, a dash of Angostura bitters. A drink to warm you from the inside, the perfect cocktail for sipping by the fire.

Whiskey Insider – Capital Bar & Grill
A whiskey equivalent of the famed hot buttered rum. Hot cider, cinnamon and butter help the smoked maple whiskey let the secret out. Hence the whiskey insider.

It’s made with 2 oz. of Knob Creek Maple, 1 bar spoon of cinnamon compound butter with crushed sage, and 3.5 oz. hot apple cider. It’s served in a warm hot toddy glass and garnished with a long cinnamon stick and toasted marshmallows.

Place compound butter in a hot glass, add the cider and Knob Creek and stir.

Red Velvet – One Eleven
A light, refreshing and bubbly drink with warm hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger and the sweet and subtle hint of orange. This red, velvety, smooth drink is the perfect cocktail to share with friends.

• 1 oz. House Made Holiday Syrup – Simple Syrup, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Ginger and Orange Juice
• 1 oz. Rye Whiskey
• Casa Del Mar Cava
