Warning: You’re gonna love this! It’s a perfect snack for football watching, a glass of wine after work or just because.
It’s something I served this weekend with pita chips for our guests but then used it as a side dish with cucumbers for dinner. All you need is a food processor, but my daughter said she made it in college and just mixed it by hand. (It will have a different consistency if you prepare it that way.)
Seven Minute Garlic Jalapeño Whipped Feta Spread
Ingredients
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 3 oz. feta at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons fresh basil, roughly chopped
- fresh parsley, roughly chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 tablespoon red onion, roughly chopped or 1 small shallot
- 1-2 jalapeños, seeded and deveined, roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Add feta and cream cheese to food processor and pulse until cheeses are mixed. Continue to mix 3-4 minutes until cheeses are very smooth. Add remaining ingredients and pulse until smooth
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
