Recipe Monday: Seven Minute Garlic Jalapeño Whipped Feta Spread


Warning: You’re gonna love this!  It’s a perfect snack for football watching, a glass of wine after work or just because.  

It’s something I served this weekend with pita chips for our guests but then used it as a side dish with cucumbers for dinner.  All you need is a food processor, but my daughter said she made it in college and just mixed it by hand. (It will have a different consistency if you prepare it that way.)

Seven Minute Garlic Jalapeño Whipped Feta Spread


  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 3 oz. feta at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons fresh basil, roughly chopped
  • fresh parsley, roughly chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon red onion, roughly chopped or 1 small shallot
  • 1-2 jalapeños, seeded and deveined, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Add feta and cream cheese to food processor and pulse until cheeses are mixed. Continue to mix 3-4 minutes until cheeses are very smooth. Add remaining ingredients and pulse until smooth

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
