Recipe Monday: Deconstructed Green Bean Bundles

It takes a village to get things in print every month for AY About You. One of our favorite people is advertising coordinator Jacob Carpenter. If you advertise with us, you know him. He sends out the reminders that your ad is due and then might have to bark at you if you are close to deadline. But he is a delight. And he’s great at karaoke. And who knew he could whip up a crockpot dish on a Sunday so I can grab and post for Monday? Those are the people who make my life easier. You’re the best, Jacob!

Deconstructed Green Bean Bundles Recipe

Just mix the below ingredients into your crockpot and cook on low for 1-2 hours and enjoy your Monday afternoon.

4 cans of Italian-cut green beans (drain 2 cans)

1 package of hickory bacon (cooked crispy and crumbled)

1 and 1/2 sticks of butter

1 and 1/2 cups of brown sugar

4 tablespoons of minced onions

1 tablespoon of onion powder

1 tablespoon of garlic powder

That’s it. Like, for real. It’s a holiday treasure and one for any day that ends in “y.” Trust Jacob. We do.
