When the temperatures drop, it doesn’t get any better than some classic comfort food. And there are few dishes more comforting than a bowl of easy-to-make macaroni and cheese.

 

Homemade Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

 

Ingredients

2 ¼ cup uncooked elbow macaroni
4 tablespoons butter
¾ cup milk
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper (if desired)

 

 

Directions

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees

2. In a large pot, cook macaroni according to package directions, then drain. Return pasta to pot.

3. Add butter to hot pasta, and stir until butter is melted. Then add milk.

4. Add 2 ½ cups of cheddar cheese to pasta mixture, and stir well. Pour mac and cheese into a casserole dish, top with remaining cheese, and bake for 5-10 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
