Nineteen schools in the Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD) will participate in Provision 2 for the 2024-2025 school year, providing free meals to all students regardless of eligibility.

The schools participating in Provision 2 are:

  • Cato Elementary
  • College Station Elementary
  • Crystal Hill Elementary
  • Daisy Bates Elementary
  • Harris Elementary
  • Joe T. Robinson Elementary
  • Landmark Elementary
  • Lawson Elementary
  • Oak Grove Elementary
  • Oakbrooke Elementary
  • Pine Forest Elementary
  • Sherwood Elementary
  • Sylvan Hills Elementary
  • William Jefferson Clinton Elementary
  • Maumelle Middle
  • Mills Middle
  • Sylvan Hills Middle
  • Sylvan Hills Junior High
  • Mills University Studies High

Provision 2, supported by the USDA and the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act, allows these schools to serve free meals to students for up to four consecutive years.

In the first year, PCSSD must collect Free and Reduced Lunch applications from all participating schools. For the following three years, households will not need to complete the application or pay for meals.

Provision 2 simplifies the meal counting and claiming process by allowing schools to receive meal reimbursements based on established claiming percentages. Additional four-year extensions are possible if specific conditions are met.

Applications are available online and at each PCSSD school and should be submitted between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025. Only one application per household is required. Applications will be reviewed by PCSSD and may be verified by school officials at any time during the school year. Parents or guardians dissatisfied with the district’s determination can appeal to the student nutrition department via email at
