Argenta’s newest restaurant, Ol’ Bart at Diamond Bear, held a ribbon-cutting for its North Little Rock location Aug 10.

North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick was on hand to congratulate business partners Bart Likes and Baker Aldridge and their families along with about 25 fellow business owners of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.

The barbeque restaurant is the second by the partnership, the first being Ol’ Bart Southern Eats in Conway. Ol’ Bart takes over the food operations side of Diamond Bear Brewery, formerly known as Arkansas Ale House. Diamond Bear brewery operations will continue at the North Little Rock site, where it has resided since relocating from Little Rock in 2014.

Likes rose to prominence as a sought-after catering chef and has fed crowds from the Arkansas Delta to exclusive hunting resorts and properties across the United States to nationally recognized musicians and celebrities.

Likes described the menu at Ol’ Bart at Diamond Bear as Texas-inspired ‘que with a Memphis twist. Specialties of the house include smoked favorites brisket, ribs, pulled pork and chicken as well as an assortment of sides.

Hours for the North Little Rock location are Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m; and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to midnight; closed Monday.
