Famed Eatery Expands

Zoë’s Eatery, Hot Springs’ longstanding Malvern Avenue coffeehouse and go-to place for quality comfort foods, has a new location in the Surfas Culinary District, a gourmet food/restaurant/housewares business in downtown Hot Springs’ historic Hamp Williams Building. Christened “Zoë’s in the District,” it’s a match made in the kitchen.
Chef Ben Dodson said, “We’re doing a full Zoë’s menu and a chef’s menu,” all being served with seating for 60, plus a patio space for al fresco dining. The menu includes Zoë’s signature sandwiches featuring homemade rosemary Parmesan bread and quality ingredients. “Using the freshest product you can get is more important than anything,” Dodson said.
Locally sourced foods, such as salad greens and Rosebud’s “Rozark Roastery” coffees, add to Zoë’s artisanal authenticity. The chef’s menu is sumptuous and diverse; you’ll find steak marsala, hummus plates, brisket tacos, Chorizo and egg tacos and more. Ben’s “Fork & Knife Burger,” a ½-pound burger topped with a choice of melted cheeses, is gaining fans, but leave room for dessert. Zoë’s pies and cakes taste like your grandmother’s secret recipe — if your grandma were Martha Stewart — and Zoë’s heavenly multi-layer chocolate cake defies the rule “never eat anything bigger than your head!”
