Black-Owned NWA has announced its third annual Northwest Arkansas Black-Owned Business Expo will take place this month at The Apollo on Emma in Springdale.

In accordance with celebrating Black History Month, Jasmine Hudson and J’aron “Jae” Merchant are on a mission to amplify, celebrate and highlight local Black-owned businesses across Northwest Arkansas.

“This is an opportunity not only to generate sales, leads and awareness for your business but to get out there and develop a relationship with your community in a more intimate way so that you can sustain your business beyond this crazy time that we’re in,” says Hudson, the event organizer.

The Northwest Arkansas Black-Owned Business Expo will be both free and open to the public and will take place on Feb. 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be COVID-19 cautious, taking place as a convention-style indoor set up with mask-wearing and social distancing guidelines in place.

“Now faced with the impacts of inflation, it is increasingly important that we continue to support our local entrepreneurs and contribute culturally unique products and services to the region,” Merchant says.
