Miss America Savvy Shields Advocates: Eat Better. Live Better

Confident and sophisticated Miss America 2017 Savvy Shields delighted an audience of almost 500 people with her speech on living a healthier lifestyle at the American Heart Associations‘s Go Red For Women luncheon. AY Magazine publisher Heather Baker is pictured with the petite dynamo.

Shields shared her experiences that lead to her becoming Miss America. Overcoming her negative relationship with food played an import role in her success. Shields’ platform is Eat Better. Live Better. The Fayetteville, Arkansas 21-year-old University of Arkansas senior loves traveling the country and encouraging people to embrace a lifestyle that drastically improves their health.

The Go Red For Women luncheon celebrates the passion and power of women in the fight against these silent and deadly diseases.
