Samantha’s Tap Room and Wood Grill Chopped Salmon Salad

I’ve been bitten by the Main Street bug. I admit it. One drive — or even better one leisure walk — along Little Rock’s renovated main thoroughfare, and you’ll become enamored as well. The walkability downtown is incredibly inviting. The streets are well lit and with the increased foot traffic — even on a Tuesday night at 9 p.m. — I felt quite safe.

So my two-block jaunt to Samantha’s Tap Room and Wood Grill for a birthday dinner was pleasant, and I was in a great mood as I sat to dine on one of my favorite dishes at this bistro: the chopped salmon salad. It’s a wonderful mixture of couscous, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, feta cheese and dried corn served on a bed of arugula with a pesto buttermilk dressing. Don’t be taken back by its linear presentation, which allows you to form “the perfect bite,” it’s filling and more than satisfying.
