The news of the forthcoming Mexico Chiquito location set to open at 906 S Pine, Ste 7, 8 and 9, in Cabot has taken the internet by storm. Excited fans of the restaurant have commented, shared and liked posts talking about the new location thousands of times.

Owner Johnny Campbell told AY About You that he is happy to see the opening is “very highly anticipated.”

Many people online are remarking on their love for the restaurant’s world-famous cheese dip and fruit punch.

According to the restaurant’s website, which includes the tagline “Home of the Original Cheese Dip,” the dish was invented by founder Blackie Donnally at the location in the Protho Junction area of North Little Rock in 1935. The restaurant also claims to have invented fruit punch.

Now, in just a few short months, Cabot will have a new location to enjoy the dip, the punch and everything else on the menu. Campbell said the drive-thru and the outdoor patio at the new location are set to open in the fall. By early next year, there will be space to dine inside as well.

Campbell said the idea has been in the works for a while, and he is excited to revamp the Mexico Chiquito brand, introducing its legacy to a new generation.
