According to TOP Data, Taco Bell’s infamous and highly-awaited Mexican Pizza is on it’s way back to the menu, yet again, after announcing its return in April of this year. Taco Bell confirmed that the “beans have been spilled” in a recent tweet, and that it would be bringing back the Mexican Pizza to its locations, starting on Sept. 15.

With taco consumption on the rise – with a 12.8% increase in demand since Covid-19, according to TOP Data – the data expects people to flock to Mexican fast food joints in the coming weeks, with Taco Bell expected to receive the most traffic.

In combining GPS tracking data from major taco restaurant chains, TOP Data, a market research firm, surveyed approximately 1,000 Americans to find that Taco Bell has seen a 4.5% increase in visits since the start of 2022, while Chipotle Mexican Grill was ranked as the top spot in 17 states. Taco Bell claimed eleven of these states, followed by Qdoba Mexican Eats being preferred in eight states, including Arkansas.
