Scott Mead started Mead Wholesale Auto as a high school senior with only one vehicle in the lot. Now, nearly six years later, the family-owned and operated dealership located in Benton, keeps an average of 80 vehicles and strives to maintain the best atmosphere and prices in the state.


The dealership buys, sells and trades vehicles and also offers motorcycles and boats.


“I started this business because car dealers have such a bad rap in general and someone said, ‘If you think you can do a better job than they can, then do it.’” Mead says. “So, every car I sell, I try to give that person the same buying experience that I would want if I was shopping at a dealership.”


Mead says that if his lot doesn’t have the vehicle the customer is looking for, his job is to go out and find it for them.


“I’m not going to turn them loose and let them shop around and spend too much money,” Mead says. “I’m gonna go out and find that vehicle.”


Mead Wholesale Auto is committed to low-pressure buying, transparent prices and standing out from retail stores by maintaining a business model centered around helping customers not only get the best buying price but also helping them secure finance options offered by local banks.


“I don’t have all the big fancy incentives,” Mead says. “I just get straight to it, and I have the best prices in the state. And that’s something I’ll always stand behind.”
