Main Street Food Truck Festival Returns Sunday

One of Little Rock’s biggest events, the Main Street Food Truck Festival, is almost here. To be held this Sunday, Sept. 11, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the event has brought in tens of thousands of attendees in previous years, with this year promising to be just as good. Food trucks reflect only the tip of the iceberg, however. Fun activities, performances, buskers and arts and crafts vendors ensure there’s plenty to do while you enjoy your food.

This year’s event boasts 60 food trucks – including selections from tacos, BBQ, and cajun to crepes, cinnamon rolls and ice cream. Many of the intersections along Main Street will also house beer tents. Events include Gemini Fitness Aerial Performers, the Driving the Cure Car Show to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Hounds Lounge Dog Pawty Zone – so your dog can join in on all the fun, too.

Though the official list of vendors has not yet been released, you can be certain that there will be plenty of arts and crafts vendors selling locally-made wares. The festival is available at no cost, and some food trucks will even offer free samples. All food trucks will accept both cash and card.

Since its inception over a decade ago, the Main Street Food Truck Festival has proved a driving force behind the revitalization of Main Street. Listed as one of the “Top 10 Best Food Truck Festivals in the United States” by online magazine Vacation Idea, this Little Rock tradition  has also been praised as an official “Southern Travel Treasure” by AAA Southern Traveler

To volunteer to help with the event, or to register a food truck, activity, vendor, etc. for next year’s festival, you can visit the Main Street Food Truck Festival website.
