This year, the Junior League of Little Rock (JLLR) and AY About You Magazine are going to make sure you have a very happy holiday season. That’s because Junior League and AY are partnering for Holiday House, an annual shopping extravaganza.

With approximately 200 merchants and more than 14,000 shoppers, Holiday House has become the largest holiday shopping event in central Arkansas. But it’s not just an opportunity to grab great deals for the holidays – it’s also a vital part of JLLR’s charitable efforts.

For almost three decades, Holiday House has served as a fundraiser for the Junior League of Little Rock’s community service efforts, including Stuff the Bus, Nightingales, LYFE, Kota Camp, Little Readers Rock, and Boosters & Big Rigs. During that time period, Holiday House has raised more than $5 million, and it raises the majority of JLLR’s funding – more than 80 percent – for its projects.

“We invite you to the 29th annual Holiday House,” said JLLR President Jennifer Goss. “It is an opportunity to support the Junior League of Little Rock’s mission to train volunteers and improve our community through our focus areas, health and wellness and school preparedness, all while completing your holiday shopping list.”

Holiday House will be held Nov. 6-9 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. Tickets for Holiday House are $10 for a general shopping day pass; they can be purchased here. The general shopping period lasts from12 pm- 9 am on from Thursday, Nov. 7; 9 am – 9 pm on Friday, Nov. 8;  and 9 am – 4pm on Saturday, Nov. 9.

There will also be several ticketed special events. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, there will be a special preview party from 6-10 pm. Tickets are $50 or $75 for VIP tickets.

There is a private shopping period on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tickets are $35. This event will include brunch from Gina’s Catering, as well as a mimosa bar.

Also on Nov. 7, there will be a ladies’ night event from 6-9 p.m. Gina’s Catering will be preparing the meal again, and there will be complementary beer and wine.

On Friday, there will be a “Jingle and Mingle” event featuring live music, delicious barbecue from Whole Hog Café in North Little Rock, chips and salsa from Cantina Laredo and a dessert bar. Of course, there will be some tasty adult beverages from local breweries.

The kids will have a great time on Saturday while they’re having doughnuts with Santa. Make sure to dress your children in their Christmas finest to have their pictures taken with St. Nick. Afterwards, they can enjoy story time, coloring, and of course, doughnuts.

Holiday House will be a fantastic chance to get all of your Christmas shopping done, have some well-deserved fun and support a great cause.
