Brought to you by Mosaic Templars Cultural Center and Arkansas Heritage, “Juneteenth in Da Rock” is celebrating this week with several signature events.


On Thursday, June 15, there will be a flag-raising ceremony at 10:30 a.m. with a brunch to follow at 11:30 a.m. On Saturday, June 17, the celebrations kick off at 7 a.m. with a 5K run, followed by a street festival at noon.


The Juneteenth in Da Rock Street Festival takes place on West 9th Street and will feature local artists, including:

  • Akeem Kemp
  • Dazz and Brie

  • Funkanites


The free event will also feature a performance from Grammy Award-winner Mýa, and will feature critically-acclaimed Gospel sensation Nakitta Clegg-Foxx.
