Renowned chef and Arkansas native Jennifer Maune has announced the opening of her debut restaurant, Restaurant Fleur, set to launch in January 2026 at the corner of Capitol Avenue and Main Street in downtown Little Rock.
Located on the ground floor of the Bob R. Brooks Jr. Justice Building, the restaurant will occupy a historic space designed by the same architect responsible for the Arkansas State Capitol. The announcement was made during a press event hosted by Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin and attended by community leaders and supporters.
“This moment is the realization of a dream that began over five years ago,” Maune said. “It’s the culmination of a lifelong passion for food, a dedication to excellence, and a deep love for Arkansas.”
Maune rose to national prominence as the runner-up on “MasterChef” with Gordon Ramsay, standing out among more than 40,000 applicants. Her culinary path began in Little Rock kitchens with her grandmother and has taken her to some of the most acclaimed restaurants in the world.
Her education includes top honors from the University of Arkansas–Pulaski Technical College, advanced pastry certification from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, and an Expert Diploma in Culinary Arts from École Ducasse, which is ranked as the world’s top culinary institute. She has also staged at Michelin-starred institutions including The French Laundry, Le Louis XV and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, with additional training at Adour in France.
Restaurant Fleur will offer French-American cuisine with seasonal menus for lunch and dinner, rooted in classical technique and supported by locally sourced ingredients. The space will also feature a private dining room, chef’s tasting room, craft coffee shop with daily pastries, and—later—a European-style pastry boutique.
The restaurant’s name, meaning “flower” in French, reflects Maune’s philosophy of garden-to-table cooking and her commitment to sustainability, artistry and wonder.
“This will be a destination for both locals and visitors—where food, design, and hospitality come together to create unforgettable experiences,” Maune said. “We’re not just opening a restaurant—we’re building something special for our community, with plans to grow beyond Little Rock in the future.”
