The inaugural VegFest, a week-long celebration focusing on Central Arkansas dining, kicked off this past weekend. The planning team behind the event includes Central Arkansas Vegan founder Dan Lysk, along with VegFest Arkansas founders Daniela Tamayo and Ann Owen. 


This plant-based food festival is taking place virtually, focusing on highlighting vegan cuisine in Central Arkansas. The festival started Oct. 29 and will showcase 23 participating restaurants’ vegan menu items through Nov. 5. 


In addition to discovering vegan-friendly eateries, participants have the chance to participate in a giveaway by uploading their receipts from the displayed restaurants. The giveaway consists of five $50 gift cards.
