The first annual Bringing Back H.O.P.E. (Healing Our People Everywhere) Summit will be conducted June 22-24 from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm at Herk Hall (Bldg. 980) at Little Rock Air Force Base. This professional development seminar is free and open to sexual assault prevention and response (SAPR) victim advocates, sexual harassment/assault response and prevention program advocates (SHARP), special victim’s counsel, prosecutors (local, state and federal); law enforcement (local, state and federal), clinicians, counselors and anyone working in victim care.

 

A distinguished group of featured speakers will discuss how trauma is formed in the brain, sexual violence, child trafficking, assault and hazing, domestic violence and sexual harassment. Simon Weinberg, noted director/producer and co-owner of Big Voice Pictures will present a documentary about sexual assault titled “Boys and Men Healing.” Victim services professionals may receive up to 24 continuing education units for participating.
