Beloved author R.L. Stine, creator of the international bestselling Goosebumps series, will be visiting the Fayetteville Public Library Event Center on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m. as part of the 10th annual True Lit Festival.

Stine has been writing horror for over 30 years, and the Goosebumps series has defined the horror genre for a generation of young readers, earning him both Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and Disney Adventures Kids’ Choice Awards. Selling over 400 million copies in the United States, the Guinness Book of World Records names Stine as the bestselling series author of all time.

Stine has published many novels for adult readers as well, many of whom were once the original audience of Goosebumps, including titles such as Superstitious, The Sitter, Eye Candy and Red Rain

Doors will open for the author talk at 5:30 p.m. The event is first-come, first-serve with a capacity of 650, and books will be available for signing after the presentation.

This year’s True Lit Festival is open to students and patrons from Oct. 14 to Oct. 26. In addition to R.L. Stine, the festival will feature New York Times bestselling author Neal Shusterman and Daniel José Older, a lead story architect for the Star Wars: The High Republic comics.
