The University of Arkansas-East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City will open its 2026-27 performance season with Foreigner’s 50th Anniversary Tour.
The show is set for Saturday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the UA-EACC Fine Arts Center. Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased online at UAEACC.edu.
With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, the band is widely recognized as one of the most popular rock acts in the world, boasting a powerful catalog that continues to drive sold-out tours and total sales exceeding 80 million records.
Foreigner is responsible for some of rock’s most enduring anthems, including “Juke Box Hero,” “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Urgent,” “Head Games,” “Say You Will” and “Long, Long Way From Home.” The group’s worldwide #1 hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is,” is also part of Spotify’s exclusive Billions Club. Fifty years into their career, Foreigner remains a major presence on the charts with strong airplay and continued Billboard album success. Their catalog sales recently ranked them among the Top 40 Best-Selling Music Artists of All Time, according to Business Insider.
Founded in 1976 by Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, Foreigner’s debut album produced the hits “Feels Like The First Time,” “Cold As Ice” and “Long, Long Way From Home.” The album Double Vision followed, as did a string of hits including “Urgent,” “Juke Box Hero” and “Waiting For A Girl Like You.” Those songs helped give Foreigner’s next album, 4, its impressive run at No. 1 on the Billboard chart. At the peak of 80’s sound, Foreigner’s fifth album, Agent Provocateur, gave the world the incredible No. 1 global hit,” I Want To Know What Love Is.” This musical milestone followed the record-breaking song “Waiting For A Girl Like You.”
Tickets are $59 and available online at UAEACC.edu, by calling 870-633-4480, ext. 352, or in person at the Fine Arts Center Ticket Office.
