Gibson’s Cat Cafe, a long-awaited cat and coffee spot, will be opening in Conway this fall. According to the Conway Chamber of Commerce, the cat cafe will be located at 808 Court St. and is aiming to open on Sept. 24. The shop will serve Zeteo Coffee blends and bakery items from Blue Barn Bakery.  The mission of the cafe will not only be about creating a cat and coffee community, but also will serve as a way to benefit rescue cats, according to the shop.

Cache Restaurant closed Aug. 1 following some plumbing issues and grease-trap damage on the first floor. According to recent reports, owner Rush Harding III says he’s looking at an Oct. 1 target to reopen, and also for the opening of the new Bayou at Cache, a hidden bar and dining room in the space.

 

A Northwest Arkansas favorite, Airship Coffee, has broken ground on its third Bentonville spot. Blue Crane is responsible for creating the brick-and-mortar retail location. The latest addition will be located at the former Head Start building with an opening date slated for Spring 2023. Read more about Airship Coffee in this earlier article

 

A new donut shop will soon be coming to Rogers, according to the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce. Ducks Donuts is a national franchise that is known for its boutique and classic donut creations. While there is already a location in Fayetteville, this will be the first location to open in Rogers. 

 

Crave Hot Dogs and BBQ will soon open a Little Rock restaurant, according to the website, iwantcrave.com. According to recent reports, James and Melanie Page will open the brand’s first Arkansas location in Little Rock. The menu offers hot dogs, sausages and brats with various toppings options, with pulled chicken, pulled pork and smoked brisket available for sandwiches, sliders and plates and “classic BBQ sides, desserts and appetizers.”

Will’s Cinnamon Shop, the sweet bakery located in Hot Springs, has announced that it will be expanding to the Uptown area, with a lot it plans to stack with food trucks or trailers. The restaurant has leased 910 Park Ave. in Hot Springs for its food trailer location. In addition to announcing its plans for the new food truck spot, Will’s Cinnamon Shop also announced it is currently looking for two or three food trucks or food trailers to park on the same lot. The newest addition to Conway’s café scene is set to open this fall. Moo & Brew will feature coffee roasted with beans from RoZark Hills Coffee Roasterie in Rose Bud as well as a selection of specialized milk and Thai teas. Treats are also on offer, with Korean corn dogs, ice cream and tea sandwiches available. Owners Gary and Tanya Tucker currently run the food truck Hey Good Cooking, known for its selection of sweet and savory treats like boba, ramen, bao buns and Korean corn dogs.

 

The Bauhaus Biergarten, an authentic German food restaurant in Springdale, is nearing its long-awaited opening. While an official opening date has not yet been shared with the public, the restaurant has announced it will be offering an exclusive membership option called the Bauhaus Stein Club: For a $100 annual fee, social club members can experience perks such as special events and ticket discounts.

The Croissanterie at 14710 Cantrell Rd. in Little Rock, will be closed for a little over a week, beginning Aug. 28 through Sept. 7. Upon reopening, at 7 a.m. on Sept. 8, it will have new hours: 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. The Croissanterie also recently applied for a liquor license. Ozark Beer Company has released its dates for Oktoberfest in Rogers. This year’s Oktoberfest lineup includes food trucks, beer, live music and games and will take place all day long on Saturday, Sept. 24. 

 

All in a Bowl, on the back side of 3000 Kavanaugh Blvd., is now open and vending a few bowl items. The restaurant serves a variety of healthy food items “all in a bowl” and ready to go.

 

 

Owner Oki Sutanto opened Goku Ramen Bar at 1900 Club Manor Drive in Maumelle, on Monday, in the former Pasta House location. Hours will be 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. for lunch and 4:30-9 p.m. for dinner, Monday-Friday, and continually, 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday. Sutanto has said the menu will be similar to that of his Aji Ramen Bar at 301 N. Shackleford Rd. For more information, read this earlier article.
