The Fayetteville Foam Fest will return to the city’s historic downtown square this month for its 7th consecutive year. The festival will be held on Saturday, May 12.
The festival will feature sample brews from some of the state and region’s finest breweries, as well as those from around the country and around the globe. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to sample from each brewery with a take-home souvenir sampling mug. All ticket holders will have access to the main beer garden.
The event was started seven years ago by Fayetteville business owner Brandon Karn.
“I have a friend who works at New Belgium Brewing, and he kept insisting that Fayetteville needed a good beer festival,” says Karn. “So, we put on a beer festival. We’re in our seventh year and thousands of people are still coming out.”
Karn says he’s excited for another successful festival, and expects those in attendance to enjoy all of the vendors that make their way to the Fayetteville Town Square.
Favorite Northwest Arkansas breweries such as Core, Apple Blossom, Black Apple, Bentonville Brewing Co., Bike Rack and more will be represented during the event. Central Arkansas brewers such as Lost Forty, Diamond Bear and Flyway will also be featured.
The event will also feature a number of food trucks for guests with an appetite. Food from Mellow Mushroom, Baller Food Truck, Beaver Tails, Yancey’s Dickson Street Dogs and Baker’s German Roasted Nuts will be sold at Foam Fest.
“This year, Mother’s Brewing Company will be bringing down their converted Volkswagen bus, which has been made into a tap bus,” says Karn. “We’re excited about that, as well as some of our new and first-time vendors. And as always, New Belgium will be raffling off a new cruiser.”
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be given to the Lib Horn Animal Shelter of Fayetteville, Ranger’s Pantry and the Breakaway Cycling Team.
Ranger’s Pantry is a food bank for individuals who cannot afford to buy food for their pets. Breakaway Cycling Team is a nonprofit committed to eliminating barriers for young cyclists in Northwest Arkansas by helping to instill life skills and ensure safe environments.
The 7th annual Fayetteville Foam Fest will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with V.I.P. admittance at 4 p.m.
Tickets to the event are $40 for entry, which comes with a 5-oz. sampling mug. V.I.P. tickets are $80, and include early entry, hors d’oeuvres and select local small-batch brews. Designated drivers can attend the event with a $20 ticket that includes a gift and access to the D.D. Lounge. Karn recommends those who plan to attend to purchase tickets in advance, as only a limited amount will be sold at the gate. Tickets can be purchased here.
Guests must be 21 of age or older to enter.
