Methodist Family Health has rebuilt lives for families and children since 1899. Their care includes an acute and subacute inpatient hospital, residential treatment centers, group homes, and an emergency shelter for children in custody of the state’s Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Methodist Family Health also provides therapeutic day treatment consisting of two schools which work with children who are unable to be part of a regular academic setting and need additional education.

Methodist Family Health also has the Arkansas Center for Addictions Research Education and Services (CARES) program offering a residential treatment center for those with substance abuse and also a mental health service for mothers and their children up to age 12. Apart from this program they offer school-based counseling and outpatient counseling clinics and the Kaleidoscope Grief Center, being the state’s only grief center for children and their families. Their mission is, “to give the best possible care to those who may need its help and to treat the whole person: behaviorally, emotionally and spiritually.”
