Christmas is Spectacular at Silver Dollar City!

At Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, you’ll find everything you love about Christmas!

From Christmas melodies, wonderful gifts to be discovered in shops all around the park, photo opportunities galore, delicious food, and of course, Christmas trees and lights, there’s something for everybody.

Did we mention the lights at Silver Dollar City? To be exact, there’s 6.5 million lights. That’s 680 miles of lights! “Christmas in Midtown” alone has 145 miles of lights covering that one and a half acre area.

If the facts are astounding, the results are absolutely enchanting. Walking through Midtown is enthralling, with running reindeer, flying angels, light tunnels, a giant turning globe … it’s almost as bright as daytime.

With Christmas decorations everywhere, delicious holiday scents wafting through the air, Silver Dollar City is truly magical. “Children laughing, people passing, meeting smile after smile!”

Two of the extraordinary delights during the City’s “Old Time Christmas” are the two Broadway-style productions. A Dickens’ Christmas Carol is amazing, with revolving sets, flying spirits, pyrotechnic special effects, and a talented 15-member cast, beautifully costumed and accompanied by a live band. I love watching the faces around me as they watch this classic story unfold. Silver Dollar City’s production of It’s a Wonderful Life is a lovely musical interpretation of America’s favorite Christmas film, skillfully produced.

Kids of all ages will be excited that the Time Traveler Roller Coaster and other select rides are open at night, weather permitting. Just think about experiencing your favorite ride after dark, with all those lights! At the new Time Traveler coaster, there are 30 miles of new lights in the launch area. Time Traveler opened at Silver Dollar City in March of this year and is the newest of the City’s coasters. It’s the fastest, steepest, and tallest complete-circuit spinning roller coaster in the world.

Rudolph leads the Christmas Light Parade twice each evening. You’ll love him and his friend Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, along with 14-foot moose characters, 12-foot elves, penguins and marching soldiers. In total, there are 45 colorful characters.

The five-story special effects tree on the Square is astonishing. There’s a 12-foot talking tree in “Tinker Junior’s Toy Shop,” an interactive show for kids. And it’s a rousing good time with the “Frontier Fa-La-La Follies” at the Silver Dollar Saloon. “Christmas on the Bayou” with Cedric Benoit and the Cajun Connection, “Santa Claus Lane,” “Rudolph’s Christmas Town” … so much to do, and there’s a myriad of food choices, too. Three different buffets, offerings of apple dumplings, wassail, hot chocolate — Silver Dollar City serves 90,000 cups of chocolate and wassail each year! And don’t forget about the Culinary & Craft School, where you can learn to create some Christmas delicacies of your own.

See for yourself why CNN Travel, USA Today, The Travel Channel, Good Morning AmericaSouthern Living and many more national sources have named Silver Dollar City one of our nation’s top holiday destinations.

Silver Dolar City is open Wednesday – Sundays through December 30, 2018. And stay tuned — you won’t believe what they’ve got planned for 2019! Enjoy!
