Chef McClure Steps Down from The Hive After Nearly a Decade


The Hive in Bentonville announced Monday morning that longtime highly acclaimed Chef Matt McClure would be stepping down as Executive Chef for the restaurant. Chef McClure had been with The Hive for nearly ten years, since the doors opened in Feb. 2013.


“Throughout the years, Chef Matt committed himself to elevating High South cuisine, landing The Hive and 21c at the center of the local culinary community and garnering national recognition for Bentonville,” said a spokesperson for The Hive in a social media post. “We are eternally grateful to his dedication and leadership.”


The Hive further announced that Chef de Cuisine, Micah Klasky, would be serving as Interim Executive Chef for the restaurant.

“In his eight years with us, and many more working alongside Chef McClure, Chef Micah has become an exemplary leader and will continue the standard of excellence The Hive is known for here in Bentonville,” added The Hive spokesperson.


The Hive is located in the award-winning 21c Museum Hotel in Bentonville, Arkansas.
