Uncle Charlie is coming to Little Rock.

This August, R&B superstar Charlie Wilson will be performing at the Verizon Arena. The “There Goes My Baby” singer will be joined by a special guest who will be announced at a later date.

Wilson is a Grammy-nominated R&B artist and the former lead singer for The Gap Band. With over 15 albums, The Gap Band has been an influence on many subsequent musicians. Some of the band’s best-known songs include “You Dropped a Bomb on Me,” “Party Train,” and “Burn Rubber on Me.”

As a solo artist, he has been nominated for a Grammy Award for his 2016 album Forever Charlie in the Best R&B Album category. He has also recently been nominated for Best Traditional R&B Performance for his song “Made For Love” in 2018.

Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Verizon Arena box office or online here.

Ticket prices range from $59.50, $69.50, $89.50, and $115.
