Camp Aldersgate is gearing up for its 41st Annual Fish Fry, set to take place on Sunday, Oct. 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at its scenic campus. For added convenience, a drive-thru option will be available at CHI St. Vincent, just down the road from the camp.
The fish fry is a long-standing community event that promises family-friendly fun, including carousel rides, a children’s fishing derby, arts and crafts and other activities. Attendees can enjoy a fried fish plate complete with hushpuppies, coleslaw and french fries while exploring the campgrounds and learning more about the camp’s mission to serve individuals with special needs.

Event chairs Ashley and Jason Parker are excited to introduce new visitors to the camp.
“It is great to get new people on the property and for them to get a glimpse of what camp is like for our campers,” said Ashley Parker.
Camp Aldersgate will also honor the 2024 “Fish Fry Family,” recognizing Zenobia Brown and her sons, Zakameron and Zay-lon. Both boys have autism, and the family has had a transformative experience at the camp.

They didn’t make my children feel different…Everybody is somebody at Camp Aldersgate, and I appreciate that,” said Brown.
Tickets are priced at $20 for individuals and $65 for a family pack of four. Children under six eat for free, and proceeds will go toward supporting Camp Aldersgate’s mission. Tickets are available for purchase online or at the door.
