The Central Arkansas Library System announced Monday that its Ron Robinson Theater in Little Rock’s River Market District is scheduled to reopen in August.

The theater’s first event will take place Thursday, Aug. 12, with the first in a recurring series in partnership with the Made in Arkansas Film Festival. The monthly series will feature a lineup of Arkansas-made and regional films followed by a filmmaker Q&A. Thirteen shorts from the 2020 and 2021 Made in Arkansas Film Festivals will be screened at the Aug. 12 showcase.

New to the theater’s offerings wills the Thirsty Throwback Thursday series with an alleyway happy hour starting at 5 p.m. Returning to the lineup will be the Terror Tuesday and Movies Meant for the Big Screen series.
