Whether it be a one or multi-day float trip, canoes, rafts, and kayaks are available to rent for float trips, and shuttle services can get paddlers almost anywhere on the river, guaranteeing visitors see the wonderful beauty of the Buffalo and the Natural State. For those inclined to stay on shore, there are numerous trails that run along the river, allowing ample hiking and horseback riding opportunities, and the area is noted for its scenery and outstanding smallmouth bass fishing.
For those looking to slow down for a while and commune with nature, Buffalo River Outfitters prides itself on its log cabins, ranging from six family cabins that sleep 6 people and two which will sleep up to 8-10 people, which are available with WiFi and amenities, including stone fireplaces, air conditioning, fully-equipped kitchens, linens and cooking equipment, wide porches with wooden swings and gliders, barbecue grills, comfortable beds, hardwood floors, hand-crafted accents, Jacuzzi tubs and king-size beds in select cabins. Each cabin is furnished with a television and a DVD player. Two handicapped accessible cabins are available to those with special needs. Additionally, pets are welcome, but there is a $25 fee per pet, per night.
