Principal Broker Jon Underhill Real Estate
Although Brandy Harp grew up in a small, southwestern Arkansas town in a home that was less than 1,200 square feet, she is now recognized as one of the top realtors in Little Rock. Harp is the principal broker at Jon Underhill Real Estate, where she supervises all the company’s agents while working with home buyers and sellers to make their dreams reality. The Little Rock Realtors Association recognized Harp in 2015, 2016, and 2017 as one of its top 10 Realtors, with sales volume exceeding $15 million.
Hometown: Gurdon, Ark.
First job: In 1995, my first job was fresh out of high school working for Alltel. I worked in customer service, project management, marketing, and advertising. The lessons I learned and the importance of relationships, integrity and work ethic prepared me for the role I’m in now.
Favorite food: That’s a hard one, because I’m a huge foodie, but sushi is one of my favorite foods!
Personal motto: Live life to the fullest. Don’t take one moment for granted.
What attracted you to your career? I don’t just help my clients buy or sell real estate, I help them achieve the dream of owning their own home. This is not a responsibility that I take lightly regardless if I am helping a first-time home buyer or helping a client sell or buy their million-dollar dream home.
What accomplishment are you most proud of? Being entrusted as the principal broker to lead and manage Jon Underhill Real Estate. Success in the world we live in is often defined by monetary values; but for me, if I have brought joy and happiness to those around me and can work through challenges to find a positive result, then I have been successful.
What do you love most about what you do? I love being able to help people with one of the most important financial and emotional investments of their lives.
What’s something others would be surprised to know? My daddy took me deer hunting, fishing and frog gigging from an early age. I have killed more than a handful of deer and know how to dress one. I still love to fish and my passion for the water (lake or ocean) comes from fond childhood memories.
What talent do you wish you had? I would love to be able to sing! Honestly, I cannot carry a tune, although I’m pretty sure that I’d score an A for effort. When I have a stressful day or I’m facing a tense situation, I often crank up the music to dance and sing at the top of my lungs!
Hobbies: I love scuba diving! After my husband, Richard, proposed to me in 1999, he gave me a gift of private scuba diving lessons. My first dive was on our honeymoon in Grand Cayman! The beauty under the sea is breath taking.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Right where I am at this moment in time. I cherish being close to my family, great friends and wonderful clients.
