Arkansas families will again have a howling ghoul time with the 29th annual Big BOO!seum Bash. Kids can enjoy a fun and safe Halloween on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Trick-or-treating, as well as safe and accessible games for children of all ages, will be held at multiple sites throughout Little Rock.

These sites include:

  • Old State House Museum at 300 W. Markham St. where the Arkansas Secretary of State’s Office and the Arkansas State Archives will also be represented.
  • Mosaic Templars Cultural Center at 501 W. 9th St., where the Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site will also be represented.
  • Historic Arkansas Museum at 200 E. 3rd St.
  • Historic Curran Hall at 615 E. Capitol Ave.
  • MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History at 503 E. 9th St., where the Jacksonville Military Museum will also be represented.
  • Firehouse Museum & Hostel at 1201 Commerce St., where the Central Arkansas Library System will be represented.
  • Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center at 602 President Clinton Ave.
  • Museum of Discovery at 500 President Clinton Ave.

Trick-or-treaters are invited to pick up the free Big BOO!seum Game Card and have it stamped at each of the eight locations. Completed game cards will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Google Chromebook tablet or a basket of scary-good gifts from the participating locations and organizations.

There is also an optional stop for those interested. Though no stamp will be provided, families are encouraged to stop by the River Market Pavilions at 400 President Clinton Ave. during the same timeframe for candy and entertainment. This is a new addition to the Big BOO!seum Bash and will be held in coordination with the River Market Live music event, featuring music by Bijoux.

“The Big BOO!seum Bash is a free way for residents to experience Little Rock’s museums and cultural attractions,” said Gina Gemberling, president and CEO of the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Participants can visit one or more of the locations while having a safe and educational experience at the same time.”

The annual Big BOO!seum Bash is hosted by the Greater Little Rock Museums and Cultural Attractions Consortium and the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB).
