One Arkansas restaurant company is doing its part to end hunger in Arkansas.
Big Orange, part of the Yellow Rocket Concepts restaurant group, is donating of the costs of three menu items to the Arkansas Food Bank.
Alleviating hunger is a major concern for Scott McGehee, the owner of Yellow Rocket Concepts. While feeding those in distress is a major undertaking, McGehee finds it to be satisifying, and something that pulls his team together.
“Feeding people in distress is one of the most gratifying causes there is, especially for a chef. But also particularly gratifying for my whole team as well,” McGehee wrote in a Facebook post.big orange

In the past three years, Yellow Rocket Concepts has contributed $30,000 to the Arkansas Food Bank, which has helped feed 150,000 Arkansans. And that’s just a start for this company.
McGehee wrote that he feels “honored to be raising money for the Arkansas Food Bank,” and he encouraged others to help raise money for the worthy cause.  “Pop by and try one of our specials that directly raises money and supports hungry kids and families all over the state of Arkansas,” he wrote.
There are three Big Orange locations, which are all participating in the fundraiser. There are two locations in Little Rock – one on Chenal Parkway and one on University Avenue – and one in Rogers.
