“Bells will be ringing…” on Sunday morning.

In a concerted effort among churches in central Arkansas, church bells will be chiming Easter morning simultaneously from 8-8:10 a.m. In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be the first time churches will be empty on Easter Sunday.

An anonymous group of clergy has initiated the church bell ringing and even asking local media, radio and television stations, to air ringing bells at the same time. The ministerial group is asking print media as well to participate by not airing commentary or posts for those ten minutes.

Reportedly, Catholic, Baptist, Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian and Bible churches in central Arkansas will be participating. If you are with a central Arkansas church and your church has church bells, have them ring loudly Sunday morning.
