Sales Professional, Sissy’s Log Cabin
Vicki Taylor has been at Sissy’s Log Cabin for almost 28 of its 56 years in business, having originally been asked by founder Sissy Jones herself to run the gift shop in Pine Bluff three days a week. Eventually, Taylor made her way into jewelry as she helped with Christmas and May Sale. Taylor stepped away at one point to spend more time with her grandson, Clinton, but said CEO Bill Jones “asked me to keep my foot in the door, and I’m so glad I did.”
“Over the years, I have become great friends with Sissy, and even though she’s just a few years older than me, she has been a wonderful mentor,” Taylor said. “Sissy taught me to never stop learning. Even after all these years in the jewelry business, I still learn something every day.”
Taylor moved into jewelry sales full time about nine years ago. Whether running the gift shop or manning the jewelry cases, what has kept Taylor at Sissy’s Log Cabin all these years has been a genuine passion for people and the love of making them happy. That is what makes working there so much fun, she said.
“I have so many dear friends from my time working at Sissy’s, and some of my customers have turned into extended family,” she said.
It certainly helps that Sissy’s natural diamonds are a sure way to bring a smile to most anyone’s face.

“Every woman should have a diamond. It doesn’t matter how big or how small,” Taylor said. “You know what they say: Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.”
When Sissy’s Log Cabin opened its west Little Rock store in The Promenade at Chenal in 2022, Bill Jones asked Taylor if she would move to that location, and she agreed. The Crossett native called moving to Little Rock one of her best decisions because, “It brought me closer to my family, and I love living here.”
“My family are the great loves of my life,” she said. “My daughter, Barbie, is my proudest accomplishment; my grandson, Clinton, is my pride and joy; and I love my son-in-law, Clint, like he’s my own son.”
