Little Rock has a rich artistic community – from visual arts such as painting to theater and more. But one of its strengths is the its musical offerings. And one of the crown jewels in Little Rock’s (and Arkansas’) arts community is the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

This Wednesday, the ASO is offering a free concert in Little Rock.

Part of the UAMS Ruth Allen Concert Series, this concert will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the UAMS Hospital Lobby Gallery.

The concert lineup will include Alisa Coffey, harp; Carolyn Brown, flute; Katherine Williamson, violin; and David Gerstein, cello.

The program will include Haydn’s “Trio in D Major”; Ibert’s “Trio for Harp, Violin and Cello”; and Piazzolla’s “Histoire du Tango.”

Later this week, ASO is highlighting a special guest. YooJin Jang is joining the ASO for a special Spring residency. On Friday, April 5, there will be a performance at Central High School Auditorium with a performance by Jang. The performance will be at 7:30 p.m.
