University of Arkansas Little Rock students are in luck!
UA Little Rock is partnering with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra (ASO) to provide all UA Little Rock freshmen with free tickets to any 2018-2019 ASO regular season concert.
In addition, all UA Little Rock students, faculty and staff will receive discounted tickets to regular season events. All students can purchase $10 tickets, while faculty and staff members can get $10 tickets for seats that are regularly priced $36 or lower.
In an ASO press release, CEO Christina Littlejohn emphasized the importance of providing access to cultural events for young students. “It is truly an honor to partner with the University of Arkansas Little Rock to introduce a new generation of students and future leaders to the arts in our great state,” says Littlejohn. “We look forward to sharing the power of music with these new UA Little Rock freshmen as well as our entire community.”
During the 2018-2019 season, the ASO will present “The Music of Star Wars,” “Elgar’s Enigma,” and “Home for the Holidays,” a family-friendly holiday music performance, and many more performances. In May, the ASO will also present E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial: In Concert. There is sure to be a show for everybody!
One of the highlights of the year will be the Classical Mystery Tour: Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Showing in March, this two-hour show will feature original members of the Broadway show Beatlemania as they perform classic hits. All students, faculty and staff will receive one free ticket to the Classical Mystery Tour.
