Arts One Presents, formerly known as the Arts Center of the Ozarks, has announced Romeo + Juliet as its spring show and inaugural performance debut under the organization’s rebranded name. The performances will take place Wednesday, April 20 through Sunday, April 24 at Likewise, an industrial, adapted reuse space in Fayetteville.

Tickets are on sale now on the Arts one Presents website. General admission tickets are $20, and table for two tickets are $75, and include tickets for two individuals at a reserved table along with two drink tickets.

All design and aesthetic choices have been made with a reimagined, contemporary twist, however, the traditional script will remain in use. This rendition will be a refreshing take on one of the oldest love stories.

Taylor Dolan is directing the cast made up of local community members. The Ozark Ballet Theatre choreographed the performance and two Northwest Arkansas based DJs – DJ Dribblz and DJ Raquel – will lend a modernized musical score.

Romeo + Juliet will be the first performance for Arts One Presents, and this summer will offer its summer musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame in July at the Don Tyson School of Innovation performing arts center in Springdale.

For the safety of the audience, crew and artists, face coverings are recommended during the performance regardless of vaccination status. Ticket holders will be notified of any changes to safety protocols in advance.
