There’s no question this Summer has already been a scorching one, but there’s no better solution to that than to visit some Arkansas splash pads. These places are great way to cool down for everyone. 
1. Magic Springs Water & Theme Park in Hot Springs
From concerts, family rides, a waterpark, and special events, this park has it all. The waterpark is known for their popular attractions such as Boogie Blast, Splash Island, and the Kodiak Adventure River. They also have concerts with a new artist/band every weekend. The waterpark is open through September 3 and the theme park is open through October 30. Hours and admissions vary throughout the Summer and season passes are also available. 2. Arkadelphia Aquatic Park
This waterpark is a great place for kids. The park has a huge frog to play on, and kids can even slide down the frog’s tongue. Along with the frog there are many other neat features to this park, like floating play pieces and a pool with zero depth entry and open-flume water slide. 3. Parrot Island Waterpark
Located in Fort Smith, this waterpark features a wave pool, a children’s area, an activity pool, a lazy river and many different body slides. The waterpark also has live music every Sunday. This is a great place to have a group event and/or birthday party. Admission is $15 for anyone who is over 4 foot and $10 for anyone under 4 foot. Children 3 and under get in free. 4. Wild River Country
This park is located in North Little Rock. It has 3 new thrilling rides that opened in 2015 that are sure to give people a rush. There is a kid pool, a wave pool, and even a lazy river. One-day admission is $29.99 and $20.99 for people under 4 foot. Kids ages 2 or under gets in free. Military, Police, EMT, and firefighters with a valid ID get in for $24.99. 5. Splash Pads at Riverfront Park
Little Rock’s Parks & Recreation offers two interactive splash pads for kids in downtown. The first pad is located in the Peabody Adventure Park near the climbing wall and is open for children of ages. The second area is for kids 5 and up, located by the Riverfront Park’s Children’s Play area behind the Marriott Hotel. This pad has gentle water spouts and a beautiful waterfall. These pads have unique water features that offer cool and wet fun for all users. The splash pads are all free. Both areas are open through the end of September from 8 A.M. – 9 P.M. 6. Splash Pad at Tyndall Park in Benton
This community mini waterpark is the perfect place to cool off. The park includes water spouts, filling-and-dumping buckets, and a missing arc. The park also has covered picnic tables inside the splash pad area which provides a great place to go to have lunch. It is open through September 3 from 9 A.M. – 8 P.M. and is free for everyone. 7. Splash Pad at War Memorial Park
This splash pad is offered by the Little Rock Parks & Recreation at War Memorial Park. This pad offers rocks, nets, nooks and crannies to climb on with fountains, mist and plenty of water to keep kids cooled off. There is also a covered slide with a view of Coleman Creek for visitors to enjoy. It is open through the end of September from 8 A.M – 9 P.M. For more info call (501) 371-4510
